2018 Spring Salmon Run 10 Kilometer Race Presented by Know Your Watershed Week!
The Salmon run is a 10K race. The course follows Jones Bar Road on its 2-mile descent to the banks of the Wild and Scenic South Yuba River. From the river, participants ascend a steep section of the course along the salmon ladder where it meets the independence trail. The course then loops back towards Jones Bar road meeting the road halfway to the top. The course finishes where it started. Participants will enjoy incredible views, wildflowers, and challenging, diverse terrain. Upon completion, participants return to Sierra Friends Center for brunch, silent auction, awards ceremony, Sierra Streams Institute open house and family activities. Donation based childcare with environmental activities will be provided by Sierra Streams Institute during the race. See the event map here
